A college degree is not a sign that one is a finished product but an indication a person is prepared for life.
Hopefully all fresher's students will be attending the first day at the National Institute Of Technology Patna (Nitp) & have attained the orientation program from 2/08/2018 to 6/08/2018. While half of them may be nervous, rest might be excited about meeting the seniors, exploring the college campus, making new friends etc.
Admission formality is done. Documents submitted. Fees paid and congratulations you have got admission in the college where nearly three more aspirants competed for the same seat. Like a warrior, you have won a battle, but hold down, the journey has just started. Today is the first day in your college and you must have heard stories on how life here is different from the school. Attend Orientation Day
Many students do not attend the Orientation Day as they don’t find it necessary. But students, it is not a school assembly, rather this is the first time you will sit inside the big seminar hall like our Civil Common Room , Viswasraiyya Hall, CV Raman Hall,or other college auditorium. You will meet your future friends as well as teachers here.At our time its only one day lecture program but now its has been extended to seven days program with different activity and events . |

Ragging is banned but meet seniors
A lot of students miss initial days of college due to fear of ragging. We suggest everyone read the nitp guidelines and brochure given you at first day of orientation at your respective halls and do not let anyone harass you. But yes, introduce yourself to the seniors as they are the best persons to guide you about the subject and college. Their contacts might help you get a good deal in course books. |

Events & Clubs of Nitp
The students of NIT Patna are involved in a wide spectrum of events other than their daily academic routine.The annual technical fest of NIT Patna has become one of the biggest technical fest of the time. The last edition attracted participants from over large numbers students from across the country, thus making it the largest technical fest of Bihar. Aimed at providing a platform for showcasing the best and the latest innovations in the world of technology, various events such as waste wizard,movie mannia, janchitya,robotics, circuit designing, programming, presentations etc. has been performed which comes under different clubs like Navyakalam, Avlokan,Aayam, vista, nrityangana used to gives the students to showcase their talent and their practical skills to use. The event also boasts of a plethora of lectures by some of the biggest names in the field. Entirely managed by students, Corona provides opportunity for aspiring scientists and managers alike.

Sports at nitp
A healthy mind resides in a healthy body. The students are encouraged to take up sports actively. A huge ground is maintained meticulously for playing cricket and football. A Tennis court, Basketball court and Badminton court are also present. Several other sports such as Table Tennis, Athletics, Volleyball and others are also conducted. Students of the institute have taken part in various Inter-College tournaments and matches and have shown exemplary performance. we have also active SAS councils members who have completed a successful and memorable Techfest as well as Intramular Sports of 2018.
Discover places around the college
Orientation over. Now take a rickshaw and find out the best places to hang out. While the north and south campuses are known for amazing eateries in and around, colleges outside the campus are mostly closer to some renowned markets/ hang-out zones. Like Bihar Museum located near tara mandal,Takht Sri Patna Sahib,Buddha Smriti Park,Hanuman Mandir Near Patna Junction, Srikrishna Science Centre at West Gandhi Maidan, Golghar at Chajju Bagh, and many other places to visit at patna. |
