Glory of NIT-Patna's Mr. Jha prez gold medal at Nitp convocation day

It was a dream come true for them to met the President 

On the auspicious of their convocation day on November 15,2018 National Institute of Technology (NIT), Patna had invited current President of India Ram Nath Kovind as the chief guest at the ceremony to reward and honour the students.

Chittaranjan Kumar Jha have been conferred with the President’s gold medal at the eighth convocation of National Institute of Technology (NIT)-Patna held at Gyan Bhavan in the city.
Bihar C.M Nitish Kumar also highlighted on the efforts by the institute in terms of placement and development. NIT, Patna is famous for giving 100% placement for the students. He nodded that between 2014-18, about 35+ reputed companies visited the campus and offered more than 200 jobs to undergraduates.


CM Nitish announced the major announcement. He has said to open 1 engineering college in every district of Bihar. CM said  address that he was very happy to reached  NIT Patna at a different position. CM Nitish Kumar said that NIT has got place in top colleges in the country. This is a matter of pride. CM said that NIT has worked very hard to reach here.

“Also, the topper of each branch of Class 2018, who scored above 9 CGPA, got the Director’s gold medal,” 

The eight such meritorious students included Akansha Sachdeva (BTech-civil engineering), Shivans Singh (BTech-computer science and engineering), Kumar Piyush (BTech-electronics and communications engineering), Vishal Verma (BTech-electrical engineering), Chittaranjan Kumar Jha (BTech-mechanical engineering), Piyush Kumar Singh (MTech-civil engineering), Daivamdinne Manohar (MTech- electronics and communications engineering) and Amit Kumar Choudhary (MTech-mechanical engineering).

All these ten gold medals have awarded by the President. CM Nitish Kumar was the guest of honor,  the programme was started at 4pm and the President had leaved the ceremony at 5pm.

The Certificate of Excellence awards had received by  Kamal Jeet (Masters of Architecture), Mamta (MTech-computer science and engineering), Abhineet Prakash (MTech-electrical engineering), Raunak Jain (MTech-information and technology), Rakhi Sharma (MTech-mathematics), Rishav Kumar (Bachelors of Architecture) and Shubham Rana (BTech-information and technology).

Ravi Shankar Ranjan of BTech-mechanical engineering and Rumita Dhar of BTech-computer science and engineering will be given letters of appreciation and Rs 10,001 each on behalf of the NIT. 

Akansha Sachdeva had conferred with two special gold medals, including KN and Arjun Rohatgi Gold Medal and BCE-NITP Alumni Gold Medal.

709 degrees had awarded to 

students, including 519 to BTech and 179 to MTech pass students and 11 to Ph.D. scholars.

The dress code was cream-color kurta and white pajamas with a jacket for men and cream-color sari with a white blouse for women.
