The eight such meritorious students included Akansha Sachdeva (BTech-civil engineering), Shivans Singh (BTech-computer science and engineering), Kumar Piyush (BTech-electronics and communications engineering), Vishal Verma (BTech-electrical engineering), Chittaranjan Kumar Jha (BTech-mechanical engineering), Piyush Kumar Singh (MTech-civil engineering), Daivamdinne Manohar (MTech- electronics and communications engineering) and Amit Kumar Choudhary (MTech-mechanical engineering).
All these ten gold medals have awarded by the President. CM Nitish Kumar was the guest of honor, the programme was started at 4pm and the President had leaved the ceremony at 5pm.
The Certificate of Excellence awards had received by Kamal Jeet (Masters of Architecture), Mamta (MTech-computer science and engineering), Abhineet Prakash (MTech-electrical engineering), Raunak Jain (MTech-information and technology), Rakhi Sharma (MTech-mathematics), Rishav Kumar (Bachelors of Architecture) and Shubham Rana (BTech-information and technology).
Ravi Shankar Ranjan of BTech-mechanical engineering and Rumita Dhar of BTech-computer science and engineering will be given letters of appreciation and Rs 10,001 each on behalf of the NIT.
Akansha Sachdeva had conferred with two special gold medals, including KN and Arjun Rohatgi Gold Medal and BCE-NITP Alumni Gold Medal.
709 degrees had awarded to
students, including 519 to BTech and 179 to MTech pass students and 11 to Ph.D. scholars.
The dress code was cream-color kurta and white pajamas with a jacket for men and cream-color sari with a white blouse for women.
